TextWisely offers multiple ways to trigger actions, adapting to your preferred workflow:

  • Via the action panel “/”

  • From the menu bar

  • Using a global keyboard shortcut

While there is no single "correct" way, assigning keyboard shortcuts to frequently used actions can significantly streamline your workflow, reducing context switching and interruptions.

For instance, "Fix grammar," "Improve text," and "Reply email" are among the most frequently used actions, making them ideal candidates for keyboard shortcuts. You can set shortcuts for these actions in Settings → Actions → Global Shortcut.

That way you can trigger these actions from anywhere without needing to display the app first and copy your text there. Simply select some text, press a predefined key combination (e.g. “⇧⌘F1”) , and the action executes immediately, replacing the text or copying the response to your clipboard (see Behaviors)

Good to know: Some keyboard shortcuts may be reserved by your system, but you can usually adjust these in your system preferences: “” → “System Settings…” → “Keyboard” → “Keyboard Shortcuts…”
